Cricket had its most competitive month.

November 05, 2024

Good morning. It's Helluva week for cricket fans.

Is cricket more competitive now or in a phase? Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New Zealand, and the West Indies have all turned the tide with their emphatic and surprising wins over the Big Three in the past 30 days.

Sri Lanka under Jaysuria is building a solid side, a glimpse of old hard-fought Sri Lankan cricket. West Indies won the ODI series 2-1 convincingly against England. Pakistan did a solid against England, with an amazing turnaround to win the test series 2-1 . Followed by an ODI win in Adelaide after 1996.

What to even say about New Zealand. They are on cloud nine after the historic whitewash of India at home.

Pak hand Australia their worst ODI loss at home

Pakistan fast bowlers quarters: Shaheen, Naseem, Hasnain and mighty Rauf have nailed their lengths so far in the ODI series. Rauf took a fifer to restrict Australia to 163.

Pak bowlers have given a roadmap on how to bowl on Australian pitches (India lurking).

Pak opener’s no-look shoot specialists Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique notched a century-run partnership to make a mockery of the total.

The Pak team now look more compact since their defeat in the first test vs England. Notorious for their unpredictability, in form pak team is a great sign for world cricket

WIndies double trouble; Centuries from carty and king secured the series win

England could only manage 263/8 off their 50 overs. A commendable effort from the lower order and Phil Salt as they were 24/4 at one stage.

All this while Alzaari Joseph had stormed off the field after an argument over field placement with captain Shai Hope. Never seen anything like it.

Eng made a good start by removing Ewin Lewis early. Keacy Carty and Brandon King had other plans; both notched their centuries. First for Carty & third for King.

Windies batting lineup has breathed fire throughout the series, after a long time, their oil tanks are full. The series’ defeat adds up the pressure on the struggling English ODI team.
